The Fundaci\u00f3 Gala-Salvador Dal\u00ed named Mr. Miquel Roca life patron. The lawyer replaces Mr. Francesc Verg\u00e9s, who passed away last 9 July. Mr. Verg\u00e9s was once General Secretary of the Dal\u00ed Foundation and used to be Member of the Board of Trustees since its creation in 1983.<\/p>\n
The naming took place on 10 October, during the celebration of the extraordinary session, in which the 2012 Budget and Action Programme is approved.<\/p>\n
Miquel Roca <\/strong> \nIn 2006, he was honoured with the highest prize given by the Catalan Government, the Creu de Sant Jordi<\/em>, and in 2008 he was named doctor honoris causa<\/em> by the Girona University. He has been the Dal\u00ed Foundation’s legal advisor since 1997.<\/p>\n By appointing him, the Board of Trustees acknowledges his contribution to the development of Salvador Dal\u00ed\u2019s mission. With him as legal advisor, the institution has taken important steps in pacifying and protecting Dal\u00ed\u2019s immaterial rights, as well as in fighting against fraud.
