The event was attended by Ramon Boixad\u00f3s, Chairman of the Gala-Salvador Dal\u00ed Foundation, Montse Aguer, Director of the Centre for Dalinian Studies, and M\u00e0rius Carol, Director of Communications of Grup God\u00f3, <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">La Vanguardia<\/span> newspaper editor and writer. Among other works, he is author of the <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Les seduccions de J\u00falia<\/span> (The Seductions of Julia), with which he won the Ramon Llull 2002 award and which is set in the last stage of Salvador Dal\u00ed\u2019s life story.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is housed in the P\u00fabol Castle House-Museum and is curated by Montse Aguer, who is also the author of the catalogue texts along with the researcher Marc Aufraise. Assisted by sponsorship from the \u201cla Caixa\u201d savings bank, the catalogue has been published by Distribucions d\u2019Art Surrealista, with design entrusted to Bis Dixit and printing to Gr\u00e0fiques Trema.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition contains sixty photographs that Eric Schaal took of Dal\u00ed engaged in various projects, as well as others of the two men together. It has been divided into seven thematic areas: \u201cPortraits\u201d, \u201c Exhibition at the Julien Levy Gallery in New York (1939)\u201d, \u201c<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">The Dal\u00edDream of Venus<\/span> (1939)\u201d, \u201c<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">The Face of War<\/span> (1939-1940)\u201d, \u201c<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Dal\u00ed at Hampton Manor<\/span> (1941)\u201d, \u201c<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">What Dal\u00ed Thinks About<\/span> (1942)\u201d, and \u201c<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Salvador Dal\u00ed-Eric Schaal <\/span>(1939)\u201d. These photographs are a selection from the Schaal collection that the Dal\u00ed Foundation acquired in 2005 and that consists in 218 negatives, 68 period copies on paper, 43 slides and the corresponding public showing rights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The temporary Dal\u00edversus Schaal exhibition was inaugurated at the Gala Dal\u00ed Castle House-Museum in P\u00fabol.
